Year 6 scientists redesign the paper aeroplane
Pupils from 6L were given the task to design various different models of paper aeroplane to see how the design of a plane affects the distance it travels.
Pupils tried all sorts of different measurements, shapes and sizes of prototype to see which design worked best.
It was very important to consider the control variables when the pupils created their designs, as the most successful prototypes would be measured against the original shape.
Later this term, the pupils will be investigating the effect of wing span on the success of the plane’s flight.
