The Millfield Centre

The Millfield Centre

Millfield has set out on its most ambitious project yet, to build an £8.5 million world class learning centre for entrepreneurship. By providing every pupil with outstanding business facilities the new centre for enterprise and internationalism will place Millfield at the forefront of business education across the world.

With Millfield’s extensive links to the international community and strong alumni network, enhancing the provision of International Business Studies, including economics and accounting, this development will position Millfield uniquely amongst independent schools throughout the world.

It is our intention to:

  • INSPIRE the next generation
  • DEVELOP enterprise and skills
  • PREPARE young people for the global workplace
  • CONNECT business and education

The Headmaster, Craig Considine commented "Without question this will transform our ability to establish Millfield as a leader in the provision of secondary and further business education; transforming the way entrepreneurship is taught in school".

The building will be located to the north of the Equestrian centre adjacent to the Sir Gareth Edwards rugby pitch. Its design is modern, innovative and exciting and yet fits sensitively in to our current campus.

Millfield Governors are pleased to offer naming opportunities and commercial partnerships through this exciting facility:

Scholarships

"To nurture talent by providing the very best facilities, teaching, coaching and opportunities in which young people can exercise and explore their abilities; and to give awards to those in financial need."

Jack Meyer

Following the legacy set by founder, Jack 'Boss' Meyer; Millfield gives support and assistance to gifted young people throughout their education. For some pupils this entails assistance with fees in the form of a scholarship or bursary so that they can experience the life changing opportunities our school has to offer.

Generous donations from alumni, parents and friends of Millfield are channelled into a managed fund and used solely for scholarships and bursaries.

Maintaining Millfield's diversity (the ‘Millfield Mix') and widening access is at the heart of the Development office's aims.

Over £1.8 million has been donated for scholarships through the Millfield Foundation to benefit talented pupils. Thank you to all those who have contributed to Millfield Foundation; your donations and support make a significant impact on the quality of the Millfield experience for all of our pupils, present and future.

We are working through houses to raise an additional £2.5 million by August 2018 to provide five 'house scholarships'.

Please contact Gareth Turnbull who will be delighted to discuss how you can offer a young person the blessing of a scholarship at Millfield +44 (0) 1458 44 517 garethturnbull@millfieldschool.com
