Mr Craig Considine - Headmaster
Mr Craig Considine commenced as Headmaster of Millfield in August 2008. Craig was previously Headmaster of Wanganui Collegiate School, the premier co-educational boarding school in New Zealand. He held this position for four years, providing a clear focus on offering a holistic education epitomised by the development of the Aramea programme. This involved Year 10 pupils undertaking a five week experiential education in the Mount Tongariro National Park.
Prior to Wanganui, Craig held various posts in Australian Independent Schools including Geelong Grammar School (2001-2003) where he was Director Co-Curriculum, Scotch Oakburn College (1999-2000) and The Geelong College (1984-1999). Craig was a member of the Senior Management team at Geelong Grammar School and has extensive boarding experience through his years as a Housemaster. He has a passion for pastoral care and the support of young people in their personal growth.
Craig is a graduate of Melbourne University, Charles Sturt University and Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology and holds a degree in Applied Science in Human Movement, a Diploma in Education and a Masters in Education. He competed in the Australian Commonwealth Games team in the Decathlon and played professional Australian Rules Football.
