The school is currently raising funds to support this project which will invest in world-leading technology, including through motion tracking and simulation software, placing Millfield at the forefront of school and university facilities for golf.
The Millfield Golf Centre will be situated adjacent to the pitch and put course in the centre of campus, ensuring that almost all of the programme’s facilities are in close proximity, and can be used all year. It will include a 9x9 square metre putting green with slight slopes, eight indoor practice nets, two of which will allow golfers to drive from within the building out onto the adjacent course using roller shutters, an interactive GC Quad Launch Monitor and Sky Trac simulation software. The new Golf Centre will allow the golf programme to expand group sessions, as 16 pupils will be able to use the facilities at the same time.
The Golf Department has a proven track record of success in development talented golfers, ensuring pupils get a bespoke training programme built around their academic commitments.
The Development office at Millfield is working with the Headmaster and Golf Society to raise £475,000.
Please join us in investing in young talent, to provide the life changing opportunities and best possible training in golf.
