Millfield Prep swimmers to compete for Bermuda at world class Youth Development Games

Two Millfield Prep swimming pupils have received call ups to represent Bermuda in the XXXIV CARIFTA 2019 Aquatic Championships to be held in Barbados.

Year 8 pupils Pippa Charleson and Rhys Insley will have the opportunity to represent Bermuda in the annual games, which take place between 11-24 April 2019 in Barbados. The pupils, who both board at Millfield Prep, will compete against national level swimmers from 24 federations, including Jamaica, the Cayman Islands, Antigua and Barbuda and Trinidad and Tobago.

Millfield Prep’s swimming programme is recognised as one of the top clubs in Britain, having had success in the Arena League as well as securing places on the England talent identification programme. Several of Millfield Prep’s pupils swim internationally and have competed at recent Olympic Games. Notable alumni include World Champion James Guy and Commonwealth Games medallist Cameron Kurle.
