Sixth Form drama students took part in Shortcuts, a show consisting of two short plays.

The first was a selection of scenes from Love & Information by Caryl Churchill, in which relationships in the information age are scrutinised through a series of brief, artfully fragmentary scenes. The other play is Jokers, a piece devised and performed by CircleOne, our sixth form drama scholars’ group. Drawing inspiration from the recent Hollywood hit Joker, the play explores the theme of identity through a powerful sequence of physical theatre vignettes, performed to a pounding soundtrack.

The show, performed across two evenings in Millfield’s Meyer Theatre, saw students, staff and members of the local community attend to support the students.
