Mrs Kait Weston – Deputy Head (Pastoral)

Kait Weston became Deputy Head (Pastoral) in September 2018 and is responsible for all matters relating to the pastoral care of pupils, house staff and the boarding programme.

Previously Senior Housemistress at Shrewsbury School in Shropshire for eight years, Kait was responsible for the pastoral, academic and co-curricular life of the girls in her care and played a pivotal role in the introduction of girls to Shrewsbury. Alongside her pastoral role, Kait taught Biology and PSHE. Prior to Shrewsbury School, Kait taught Biology at Thomas Telford City Technology College, Shropshire. She also spent a year as Resident Tutor at Malvern Girls’ College, looking after the pastoral needs of over 80 sixth form boarders.

Kait holds a BSc in Biology from Cardiff University, an MSc in Pest Management from University of Newcastle and completed her PGCE (Science: Biology) at the University of Oxford. Also a keen sportsperson, Kait was on the winning Oxford women’s team in the 2002 Boat Race, whilst studying for her PGCE.
