Pre-School baking and welly walks
Pupils in Pre-School have been carrying on their ‘story map’ learning by getting to know the smells and textures of gingerbread men. They had a fun time observing the different ingredients and used some fantastic words to describe them: greasy, sweet, sticky, spicy and soft.
After making their biscuits, the children popped them in the oven, where they baked until they looked and smelt delicious.
Elsewhere, the pupils also enjoyed a refreshing welly walk over the school grounds. The children donned their finest wellingtons and ran across the fields, down the hills (and had to climb back up again) and fed the ducks.
