Keen's Elm, named after the field it is built on, is one of the two Year 9 boys’ boarding houses. Being in the heart of the Millfield campus, it has easy access to all of the school's marvellous facilities, as well as offering table tennis, pool and football tables and a quiet working area for collaborative work. The house has a 'relaxed' central garden for BBQs and other activities, along with a large hard play area with basketball nets.

Toby and his wife Lucy have had fifteen years’ experience in being houseparents. Toby is Director of Nine at Millfield and Lucy works in the Admissions Department. Toby began his career at Clifton College where he taught History, alongside making his mark on the professional Rackets circuit. He has since been a Head of Department, Head of Boarding and most recently Assistant Headmaster (Pastoral). Toby and Lucy have four children. Two are grown-up Old Millfieldians and two are currently at Millfield.
