Former Millfield pupil graduates from Harvard with Student Athlete Award

Former Millfield pupil Olivia Allin has graduated from Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts, with an English Honours in Human Evolutionary Biology and a secondary (minor) in Global Health and Health Policy.

Olivia was also awarded the ‘Most Outstanding Student Athlete Award’ for her exceptional grade point average during the Harvard hockey season.

Next year, Olivia will be working at the notable American multinational investment bank and financial services company Morgan Stanley in the sales and trading division in New York.

Olivia says, “Millfield provided me with the opportunities to pursue all my athletic, musical and academic interests, and my rigorious schedule helped to prepare me for life at Harvard. Millfield taught me from a young age how to manage and prioirtise my time effectively, and these were perhaps the most important skills to help me make the most of the fantastic opportunities that Harvard had to offer.”

Millfield Headmaster, Gavin Horgan, says, “We are all incredibly proud of Olivia, who has inspired many pupils to pursue academic and sporting success at American Ivy League universities, and we wish her all the best in her career in investment banking.”
